The Courageous Persuaders Video Contest is available to high school students nationwide. To be considered, you must create a 30 – second television commercial targeted at middle school students to warn them about the dangers of underage drinking or texting while driving.

Life in a Letter Scholarship Slam

Available to: Ages 13-25

How do you communicate with others? Maybe it’s through texts, tweets, or sharing pics on Instagram. But when’s the last time you wrote a letter? We’re talking real pouring your heart out, leaving all your emotions there on the page kind of letter. Been a while? Maybe you’ve never even written one before. Letters are special because unlike a typical conversation where people talk/text back and forth, when you write a letter you get the chance to say everything that you want to before getting a reply. Plus, there are only two rules to writing letters: First, they have to be addressed to someone or something and second, you have to sign it otherwise anyone could’ve written it! Write a letter in the form of a poem to anyone/anything of your choice in order to be considered for this award.

Scholars Helping Collars Scholarship

The Scholars Helping Collars Scholarship is open to current high school seniors. You must submit an essay of between 500 and 1000 words with two to three photos of your volunteer efforts to help animals in need and how that involvement has changed your lives or shaped your perceptions on the importance of animal welfare in order to be considered for this award.

Twenty-Eight Annual Poster Contest for High School Students

Deadline: 2/19/2018
Available to: High School Freshmen through High School Seniors
Award Amount: 3 Awards from $250 – $1,000

The Twenty-Eight Annual Poster Contest for High School Students is open to students from grades 9 through 12. This contest involves students creating a poster with the theme and caption, “You can make a difference,” illustrating the idea that one person can change the world for the better. Each poster must be the work of only one student and the poster concept, design and any photos or artwork used must be the original work of the student entering the competition. Posters must be 16 × 20 inches in size, including border or mat if used. If charcoal or pastel is used, the poster must be either laminated or covered with clear plastic. On the back of the poster, the following must be included: the student’s name, street address, town, state and zip code, home phone number, school, school address, grade and e-mail address (if available). Posters will be judged on overall impact, effectiveness in conveying the theme, originality and artistic merit. The judges’ decisions are final. All entries become the property of the Christophers and no posters will be returned.

Create-a-Greeting Card Scholarship Contest

Available to: Ages 14+

The Create-A-Greeting Card Scholarship Contest is open to currently enrolled high school and college students in the United States. To enter, you must design a holiday, get well, or birthday greeting card and submit your work to be judged. Your photo, art, or graphics submitted must be your own original work and you must be at least 14 years of age to be eligible for this award.

Project Yellow Light Billboard Design Contest Scholarship

The Project Yellow Light Billboard Design Contest Scholarship is available to high school juniors and seniors and full – time undergraduate students. To be considered, you must design a billboard advertisement that discourages distracted driving, specifically texting while driving.

The AACT John Kitt Memorial Scholarship is available to sophomore, junior, and senior students who have a demonstrated interest in confectionery technology. The Gift of Hope Hispanic Scholarship is available to Hispanic and Latino students who are majoring or minoring in a foreign language or with an endorsement in TESOL at the University of Findlay. Anna and Charles Stockwitz Children and Youth Fund

The purpose of the Anna and Charles Stockwitz Children and Youth Fund is to assist Jewish children and teens with a valuable educational, social, or psychological experience, or to assist them in attending undergraduate school.

The fund provides a maximum amount of $6,000 for a grant, loan or both.

You must reside in San Francisco, Marin, Peninsula or Sonoma counties if applying for a grant, and you must reside in the San Francisco Bay Area to be eligible for a loan.
